Haven't been to Ireland, but went to a pub in England and ordered something I thought sounded pub-like... stout, I think. Couldn't drink it. It had to be poison, the taste was so awful. I didn't stay long as everyone kept looking at me.

I love Irish folk. All kinds. I did a mini concert for the place.

Way back when I lived in Orange Country, we went to a very interesting St. Paddy's day celebration. There was BOTH Green and Orange. There were playfull jokes and the like but those who's Irish was protestent were invited to wear orange if they wished, and it was wonderful.

The music was wonderful.

My most direct ancestor was an 'orangeman' who left Ulster so hurridly he left his wife and kids behind, and since he married again when he arrived I'm guessing he didn't mention them again.

I wish we had a day to celebrate the Scots too.
