What Stillwater Oklahoma needs is Industrial Infrastructure. The high student population and the loss of full time jobs puts undue burden on the residents. We need full time jobs bad. Do you know any electronic manufacturers wanting to relocate where labor and high tech people are willing to work?

No, I don't. But I think the conservative political policies at the State Capitol, in large part, reflecting lack of support for education keep Oklahoma from being a more attractive place for all industry. So, in turn, it holds Stillwater back. Much of the industrial infrastructure is already in Stillwater. It has one of the most drought resistant sources of water in the state and very reliable electrical distribution. And, of course, OSU graduates. For additional infrastructure, it needs airline service to Dallas, but that seems to look doubtful to acquire.

Probably Stillwater's best bet is for entrepreneurs to develop their own ideas more so than ever for business and industry in Stillwater, which explains how Eskimos Joe's, Frontier Engineering, SST Software, and Stillwater Designs came to be.
