When people see me, they see a white guy. Although I have minority components in my heritage I fit in real well. But in looking at the riots in Baltimore, the protests in Missouri, I have to say that we, as a society, have not really progressed very much.

I am pretty proud of being an Okie. I swagger a bit when OU wins a national title. We have originated so many wonderful contributions to society....the Yield sign, the Shopping Cart, the Parking Meter. and the greatest of all, the Race Riot.

How can I help inspire these professional protesters to actually find a productive, inventive, creative way to earn a living? I am happy to help. Then maybe our society will be up to snuff.

The geniuses who I have seen basking in their three minutes of fame when a reporter asks them why they are protesting/rioting on tv do not seem to be hire-able whatsoever. What do we (as a society) do with these premium specimens? I guess what we have been doing for 40 years, pay them to sit on their asses and please not riot.

What's really a shame is that they were selectively attacking the few whote news reporters in the area and leaving the rest of them (which were mostly black) unharmed.

So I guess ALL white people are bad, huh. Yea, if I had such a narrow, skewed view of the world too, I'd probably go out and burn down my local CVS as well.

It all makes sense folks.

Default Ugly Ego And A GOD Complex.........LOL

As the local crazy African American let me place my .0199 cent into this debate , we had the solution
during the GREAT DEPRESSION Years.

We had a lot of men standing around without suitable employment so America Produced A Program
Known As The WPA . Many Types of Structures and National Parks Trails and all other types of beneficial
Community Services were performed by these men who would've been other wise a drag on the
economy of the USA.

Men on the Right said that it was a form of Communist/Socialist devils here in the good old US of A.
Men on the Left bowed to the Men on the Right because of lack of BACKBONE......and lost the battle of
IDEAS to the RIGHT.

I have talked to a lot of Powerful White Caucasian Men about totally doing away with WELFARE and
replacing it with a System that demanded " able body men and women " to perform Community
Service in exchange for receiving (CHARITY ) with not a single man or woman siding with that simple
as the nose on your face solution.

If anyone would dare to place my feet to the fire and force me to tell them why this is happening I would WINK
and quickly tell them.......Ugly Ego's And A GOD Complex.......LOL

WPA was a very big deal. It gave us 66000 surface acres of contained water in NE OK called Grand Lake O' The Cherokee. But. It was the Cherokee tribal member who spearheaded the drive to cause President Roosevelt to sign the law that created GRDA and gave electricity to rural Northeastern OK and the Cherokee Nation at Tahlequah for the very first time.

As far as I am concerned the race riots are not the problem or the cure. Yes, they get the attention to detail that is desperately needed, and that is a very good thing, but it does not address the cause. We are still fighting the ignorance of the Civil War, and all the ugly things it represents. The South may rise again, but it will not rise on the backs on the black slave, or in the fields of his white mas'r. Those days are gone.

Of course, black lives matter, but they don't matter more than other lives. I'm white and my life matters as much as a black life or any other color life.

Black lives matter, absolutely. All lives matter. But they also desperately need to strongly convey that message to the blacks that are taking other black lives. This seems to be a very "taboo" subject among black leaders. Easier to continue to always showcase and place the blame outside than to have to look within. Their cultural influences need to be addressed as well. Telling struggling people they are no one until they have a fancy smart phone, an Acura, and ridiculously expensive tennis shoes is not helping matters.

African American can no more tell other AA who are murdering AA to stop it and act ((( Right ))) than
I can talk to the man in the moon....that would be like Dem's and Repub's having any influences on each
other. I look inside of this AA all of the time , and as a matter of fact any other AA who would allow me
to get inside of theirs heads " And See That Violent Folks Will Be Violent " And " Peaceful Folks Will Be
Peaceful".

America had it's chance with Dr. ML King and killed the Non - Violent Civil Rights Movement with the Violences of a Sniper Rifle remember those days when the FBI and CIA hounded Dr. ML King night and day , and AA had real character.....well those days are gone forever , and to a large extent RAP has replaced THE BLACK CHURCH as having the most influences sorry about the caps.......LOL

Agreed.

In my opinion there has been a pushback against freeing the slaves since the end of the Civil War. We do have some southern states that want to leave the Union, too, which I think contributes to the general unrest, and distrust of government.

I am sure Ferguson had help in the persona of racist black haters such as the KKK. The last time I looked there were about nine such groups clustered along both sides of the Mississippi River not far from St. Louis, plus there were a couple other groups that were within 100 miles of Old Muddy that could quickly show up to join the fray. These hate groups are like bats. They only come out at night to prey on their victims. .

Good Points again Howest. I wish someone would rise up like Martin Luther King had and actually back in those days there were many black leaders. I hope this new movement really becomes big and that he helps.
