I am doing some research and i am wondering if anyone knows any history of a businessman from Bokoshe,OK.

Ben Parks is the name of the business man. Mr Parks was a highly successful Indian business man. Reportedly had a huge house and many business people stayed there over night.

Looking for any history or even photos.
Thanks

Here is a little history of Bokoshe.
Bokoshe | Encyclopedia of Oklahoma History and Culture

I didn't find anything on this Ben Parks in a search, but then again I didn't find a thing on my g.g.g.g. Uncle Will until I contacted the State Historical Society in OKC. As to the other, many tribal members did some very remarkable things during their lifetimes. A Cherokee man and tribal member, for instance, was instrumental in bringing electricity to NE OK for the first time. Thus from Tahlequah to Miami homes and reservations were lighted. Today GRDA sells its excess power to neighbor towns and states.
