Great to see OU bring another great victory against college football's elite team (Alabama) back home to The SOONER State. Congrats young men!

A blocking back for billy Simms is Marshall at the Plano area course I play weekly, a great guy who always keeps us up to date on OU football.

Former osu all American golfer plays her some too, kris cox, played walker cup as well but no longer playing golf for a living.

Love the old time sports connections to Oklahoma and the Cowboys both. Enjoyed the utube too!

I saw OU play in 1972, back when they had Greg Pruitt. That was back when bass&catfish was eating Gerber's bass n catfish baby food!

The wishbone didn't really have any "blocking" backs.

His name is Barry joiner, he was the forward back in the wishbone. He is not white and has a frame that looks like he could play today except for the hip arthritis. Look him up he played and carried the ball about 5 times a game which is why I called him a blocking back because that is what he did most plays. He averaged nearly 5 yards a play. When I told him his running the ball must has been a surprise to the defense, hell he said it surprised him too when the ball was left in his belly to run it.

He wore one of his bowl rings one week end which is when we found out his OU connection, he is a great guy, played high school ball in Texas of course.,,,Killeen I believe.

ya know eddie, I've always like your posts. they frequently contribute. But there is no need to "call" someone like that. If it really matters we can go back and look it up. The Internet is handy that way. Even if you are right and he is wrong there is no need to start a fight. It isn't important, and what are you gonna do? Bust a CAPS LOCK in his ass?

If you had met as many special forces guys as I have, all of whom "can't tell" the real story of having Ho Chi Minh in their sights but were not given permission to fire, or who claim to have intimate knowledge of Cambodia, or was scheduled to go into Cuba, you would realize such stories are not uncommon. And even if they were, so what?
