I think Carlisle Indian school should be in there.

It should be. Whenever I'm in the Yale Oklahoma vicinity I see a sign posted about the Jim Thorpe House. I looked it up just now and he lived there for 5 years. 1917 to 1923. Apparently the house is now a museum.

Yes, but the poll is supposedly "... OF ALL TIME".

Good catch. It does say that. However it's hard to get points for being ranked in the poll when there was no poll.

Poll or no polls, let's give credit where credit is due. They beat the national champions in 1907.

The entire 1907 squad.

Conference Independent
1907 record 10–1
Head coach Pop Warner (6th year)
Captain Antonio Lubo

"On October 26, 1907, Carlisle beat a Penn team that had won every other game and was declared national champion. The "national champions" lost 26–6, before an overflow crowd of 20,000 at Franklin Field.

That same month, Carlise defeated the Harvard football team, then one of the top teams in the country, by a 23–15 score in front of a crowd of 30,000 spectators in Cambridge, Massachusetts."

OU can't be topped by any of the other big-time programs.

7 time national champs, only program with four coaches to win 100 games, over 40 conference titles (spanning the Southwest Conf. [charter members], the Big 8, and the Big XII), 5 heisman trophy winners, team with most #1 rankings , top 5 rankings, top 10 rankings, only team in the BCS era to win all four big BCS bowls plus the national title, and the keeper of sports' most unbreakable record the 47 game win streak.

Lookin' at all that, yeh, "It's hard to be humble when you're a Sooner!"
