So, I quit smoking twice. Once, cold turkey, and once, weaning myself off. The weaning was much easier. I used cherry lozengers (nicotine) and got addicted to them, so I used Jolly Rancher cinnamon hard candy to get off those. I would cut down the amount of cigarettes I smoked every week. I loved smoking. People who say "You can't quit until you want to" are wrong. I didn't want to. I did it because I was going to have surgery.
When I quit I didn't want to either. It was one of the hardest things I ever did. Cold turkey. Fortunately, my husband, at the time, also stopped which helped a lot and I've never started again.

I only smoke ciggies when I drink beer or go to the casino. I never smoke in between and can go 3 or 4 weeks without smoking easily.

I don't want to join the ecig crowd. I don't care for them.

Jess5, we used to go to Buchanon's every month. Then we stopped going for about 2 years. Last month I found a nice quilt, with fall leaves and colors for $6! The best time to go is Sunday afternoon. They are packing up and willing to bargain!

I fooled with e-cigs and e-vape for a long time. What I learned was the E-Vape were too expensive and too hard to regulate. I only smoke light cigarettes for years. In the end I preferred Pall Mall because I could not buy the Indian cigarette from the Senaca-Cayuga Tribe near Grand Lake outside of Oklahoma. *At six cartons a month, the 1000 mile trip to get it not at all practical.)

I bought an threw away or gave away all kinds of pipe and cigarette tobacco for roll your own, E-vape contraptions, and C-cigs I did not like. I finally found an e-cig that is not sold at every bar and convenient store that is sold in smoke shops. It is Crown Seven.

This kit contains a two-piece unit that can be charged in any computer, or any car with a USB port. I bought my car charger/USB port at Casey's and ACE Hardware. The Kit also contains three cartridges or about 5 weeks of smokes. It costs less than 20 bucks. The five cartridge refill kit costs less than $10. The Flavors are Regular and Menthol. The Strength is Regular or lighter. The lighter non-Menthol is very close to the Orange box Pall Mall.

What I don't like about most of the E-Cigarettes is they don't feel, taste, or handle like a real cigarette. The Crown Seven e-garette seems to have resolved most of those issues. They don't taste like wood ash, nor is the the taste bitter, it doesn't feel fat like a cigar, and there is no offensive after smell.

Redbird, if you are interested I'll send you a working sample.

My bff is always sharing his e-cigs with me. So many flavors, but I still prefer a good old fashioned "coffin nail"!

Vapes in the casinos are common place now. I just don't get the appeal.

The appeal, I think, is in the colors and flavors - and the fact you can mix your own flavors. The oil is expensive and messy when the Vape doesn't work right. Everyone I know that ever smoked them gave them up.
