can the word "incompetence" be applied appropriately?

I know, OSU should have been whipped badly. UT gave them the game..........

OSU outgained UT 395 yards to 290. Out first downed UT 27 to 11. Held time of possession edge. I don't get where OSU was getting "whipped badly".

Besides UT owed OSU a game after OSU was robbed of a victory in Stillwater in 2012. You didn't hear UT fans whining about the refs that year.

Poor Texas.

If UT had not made the penalties they did, they would have won. They pretty well shot themselves in the foot. I don't hear anyone whining about the refs. But I do hear people telling Texas to grow up and play the game right. Texas earned the loss this year.

Inexperience = penalties = loss.

I am not complaining.

Actually, this game has given me hope for the future. For the first time in 5 years.

I haven't seen all of it. I had recorded it, but, didn't get all of the 4th quarter or OT. Does anyone know if, or when they will rerun it? I'm sure it won't be on the longhorn network, since they lost. Anyway, from the part I did see, I was thinking that OSU was giving the game to texas*, with all of those turnovers. Did texas* make some too? What is their record now, 1-3? They have the ugliest orange. I like orange, but not that burnt stuff. Theres no way I could wear clothes in burnt orange.

OSU won in regulation.

OK, a brief synopsis of the 4th quarter. Texas leads 27-24 after the pick six touchdown at the end of the 3rd quarter.

OSU throws INT to Texas. Texas returns it to OSU 39.
13:40.

Texas 1 and 10 at OSU 39.Texas: Goes for it on 4th down. Fails.
12:16.

OSU ball at their own 45 yard lin. 3 and out.
10:15

Texas ball at own 12. 3 and out.
9:12.

OSU at own 45. OSU fumbles on 3rd down. Recovers own fumble as replay shows. Texas fans whine.
OSU penalized for holding on the play. When it's all said and down. OSU 3 and out.
5:53.

Texas ball at own 9. 3 and out.

4:03

OSU ball at own 49.
2nd and 10. Pass interference called on Texas. Replays show call is correct. Texas fans whine.
OSU 1st and 10 at Texas 43.
Texas called for defensive holding. Below is picture of said hold. Texas fans whine. Charlie Strong throws a fit and gets Texas another 15 yard penalty. Texas fans whine.

(The Texas guy kneeling at the 47 yard line is pulling the OSU guard down.)

1st down OSU at Texas 19.
OSU kicks field goal to tie game at 27-27.
1:26
Texas. First down at their 25 yard line. 3 plays and punt.
Punter fumbles snap and kicks the ball out of bounds at the Texas 20 yard line.

OSU runs down clock. Kicks field goal with 6 seconds left. Wins 30-27.

As you will note: Texas had four fourth quarter possessions and no first downs. That's why I protest the notion that "OSU should have been whipped badly."

Oh, and Texas fans are still whining.

I was wondering the same, since Rick Perry went to Texas A&M. I think the UT refers to Univ. of Texas though, which the OP was making fun of their football team. Since I detest anything and everything associated with the University of Texas, I noticed the post.

Osu looked like they were giving the game to horns with all the turnovers but managed to pull it out at the end thanks to the horns screwup, much like the sooner loss last year with a really dumb penalty decision by stoops.
