Hi all. I was going through all my OK pics, and came upon those from my Panhandle/Black Mesa trip. I remember stopping off in Kenton, and the few clocks I saw were Mountain Time. I also stopped off to see the Kenton Mercantile, but it looked abandoned. This was in June 2012. I googled it and saw that at least in 2010 in was active. I really wanted to check it out and learn all I could about the area and its history and folklore. When did the Mercantile close and why? All the Google articles were from 2010 and earlier and show it open and pretty cool to see. I'm curious as to what happened there?
