I am currently paying 350 in child support. I was living in texas where the order was issued. It has been 3+ years since and I have joined the army. Currently an e4. They want to do a cs modification and I'm worried I will have to pay a whole lot more. Can my ex and I agree to just keep it at 350 and have a judge approve this amount?

Who is "they" that wants to do a modification?

Usually thats the spouse when they learn you get a better job.

My guess is that an E4 in the military is gonna pay about 500-700 a month.

350 is about the lowest I can recall hearing in a long time for someone to pay child support.

I am sure there is probably military guidance on this issue also and they probably have a good estimation available. My guess....600 a month.

I meant to say the ex requested to have the child support reviewed and since my income has increased I'm sure she is going to get more money.
I still haven't heard back from the child support office though I was just worried that my monthly payments would sky rocket. It makes no sense that they would take money from my BAH BAs and any extra allowances I recieve. But I've read that is what they base it on. I am married and that income goes towards our rent and utilities. We also have a baby on the way.

I am not involved with the child I am financially supporting because the ex was a ***** and never let me see him or wanted anything to do with me. She's money hungry and wants to spite me for any penny she can get even though she's married to someone who makes good money, and she also has about 4 other kids from different guys.

The child support system is such bull.
