And weaker. Alabama has real beer while Oklahoma has watered down 3.2% ABV beer.

Otherwise, replace Roll Tide with Boomer Sooner and I think you'll find Oklahoma to be pretty similar to Alabama culturally. No coast or anything like Gulf Shores however, and most of Oklahoma isn't as green as Alabama.

Not that this is the topic of this thread, but the beer issue is incorrect. Its a myth, its really only a very insignificant difference in content.

Yeh, that's right. Check the Bama gear at the State line. It's all Sooner Country over here.

It will be different, but not a world away different.

Obviously, Alabama is in the heart of the Deep South. Oklahoma is on the periphery of the South and West and so those are the dominate cultural indicators that make Oklahoma a very unique blend of South and West. Throw in the Native culture and you've got yourself something special we all call Oklahoma. Many of us still call it the Indian Nations.

Think North/West Texas without all the over-the-top Texan pride. Okies are a very proud people too.

If you make the journey out here, I hope it works out for you. Blessings.

Maybe if you are drinking Bud Light, but if you drink any full-flavored beer, there is a noticeable difference between the Oklahoma version and the version in other states. The OK version tastes watered down.

What is an example of a "full flavored" beer and we can do the calculations on the volume vs weight issue.

Oh, and my mother just came back from Anniston, AL and she said that some people's accent was so thick that she could hardly understand them.

In my experience (living in North Florida) there was some notable difference between Oklahoma and the deep south. Oklahoma's "southerness" is pretty watered down compared to down there.

Oklahoma is working on getting rid of 3.2% beer in Nov. when there might be a question about it at the polls. If that happens, and if you commonly drink 3.2% beer, then look for the price of beer to go up noticeably, since sales of it will be subject to the much higher Oklahoma liquor tax. But that's the price you pay for getting rid of 3.2% beer. As if the price of a beer in OKC bars isn't high enough already at around $3.50.
