I wonder which route is better to take from North of Dallas to Missouri taking 35 to OKC and taking the turnpikes to Missouri or taking 75 to 69 which seems rough last go through and following it to the turnpike to Missouri. Which route seems smoother as well?

I would take 69/75 to I-44. That cuts your driving time by about one hour rather than taking I-35 to I-44.

I agree there was a recent thread on this question that concluded what Kayne said is correct all factors considered too. A person when one route and returned the other route and confirmed about an hour savings for the US 69/75 route. 75 from Dallas to Durant is close to limited access like an interstate with Calera near the Casion the only lights until you get well north of Durant.
