Free places for veterans to eat on veterans day

  • Where the restaurant list ends it shows FREE OIL CHANGE ON VETERANS DAYMeineke Veterans Day, November 11, 2016, all veterans and active duty will receive a FREE Basic Oil Change* at participating Meineke locations. *Valid Military ID .
  • If you have been wanting to try Texas De Brazil (at Woodland Hills Mall) but thought it was a bit pricey (reg. price $42.99 for an Adult) take note of this: Monday, November 7th thru Friday, November 11th get 50% off the regular dinner price for veterans and active duty military plus 1 guest. 20% off for up to 6 additional guests.
  • We have learned that many businesses are confused, referring to a Veterans ID as a 'military ID'....Most mean if you are a veteran or active then show proof and they will give you whatever they are offering. If you want to be sure though, call them before going.

If you know a veteran please share this.

Don't forget that Hacksaw Ridge, The Desmond Doss Story is playing at movie theaters. Even more of the theaters will be showing it on Friday. The true story of Pfc. Desmond T. Doss (Andrew Garfield), who won the Congressional Medal of Honor despite refusing to bear arms during WWII on religious grounds. Doss was drafted and ostracized by fellow soldiers for his pacifist stance but went on to earn respect and adoration for his bravery, selflessness and compassion after he risked his life -- without firing a shot -- to save 75 men in the Battle of Okinawa. (The money you save on meals can buy your ticket to see this movie.)
