I'm a reporter working on a magazine article about the death of three teenagers. at 4:30 pm on August 1, 1982, a car struck a train at the crossing on East Prospect Avenue. Two of the boys in the car were killed instantly. One lived for 9-10 days. The driver survived.

The police reports are no longer available. The PCPD said they don't keep stuff that old. The Ponca City News article says there were witnesses to the crash and I'm trying to find someone who was there.

I can be reached at bresmith@mac.com or (404) 312-7807. Please text or email me. I'm blanketing this message across every forum I can find. I might not make it back here.

The publication I'm writing for is META (readmeta.com), it's a motorcycle magazine. The victims were top level amateur motocross racers and their story has never been told.

Thank you,

Brett Smith

You might try one of the Ponca City sites on Facebook. Seems to have a lot of members.
