I've been researching a lot about Oklahoma lately, and always hear about the two cities Tulsa and OKC, which seem to rival each other very greatly.

I've heard pretty much everything about them, but what about the weather? Do they have the same weather? Describe all four seasons for each city, and which climate you'd prefer.

Also, is it true OKC gets more tornadoes? Or is it Tulsa?

Tulsa gets a little more annual rainfall and they do get slightly fewer tornadoes than OKC. I prefer the climate of Tulsa over OKC but there really isn't that big of a difference between them. The extra 2-3 inches of rainfall Tulsa gets does show because that part of the state is much greener than central OK.

The differences would not be very much. As Bawac points out, Tulsa gets a little more rainfall. Maybe a hair more snow. OKC is probably windier and sunnier by a little bit. I would also suspect that with a bit more rainfall and a little bit greener terrain, Tulsa humidity is a bit worse. Of OKC gets really hot it will dry out a little bit more than Tulsa will.

Tulsa with the hills and trees has a lot less wind. That would be the biggest difference.

At Stillwater, you get a cross between Oklahoma City and Tulsa.

From looking around the net, although there were different numbers, it appears that OKC average wind speed is roughly 12.2 mph, and Tulsa is 10.2 mph.

Average and Median probably would be quite different here.
