Grove is usually where people wind up. Not many other real towns on the lake. Grove is closest to Joplin and is handy to Tulsa and NW Arkansas. They have a nice hospital and it is a friendly town. They have a website if you want to check it out.

Thanks for the Info! I will see what Grand Lake has to offer.

We have a budget around $250 - 300K set aside for a home, can anyone elaborate if this is realistic?

TIA!

Quite realistic, although actual waterfront (as opposed to one tier back from the water) increases the price significantly. I'm partial to the Honey Creek area. It's close to Grove, for shopping/etc, and it's a good boating area (big enough, but still protected somewhat from the wind, and not as much wake issues as in the main channel). Grandlakeoklahoma.com is a handy website for real estate.

Default Grand Lake attractions

Grove is definitely my vote! Vacationers love the charming town of Grove, Oklahoma on beautiful Grand Lake. Take a ride reminiscent of the Mississippi riverboat journeys aboard the Cherokee Queen. Tour the country's largest outdoor museum, Har-Ber Village. Enjoy world-class fishing and water sports of all types on Grand Lake, which provides the perfect backdrop for Grove's many attractions, shops, restaurants and festivals.
