Enough said. As the kids say, the struggle is real.
I soon will. Golden Chick will soon open in Stillwater. In addition to that, Raising Cane will soon open across the street from Chick-fil-a. Stillwater people just love the chicken places when they're not loving Wal-mart.

People can go to a park for a walk. Many of them have trails to avoid bugs. It's a good place to go to walk a dog, if you got one. There might be some interesting bird watching. Weather has many good days for doing that, especially this time of year.

But in my town, you're looked down upon if you go for a walk in the streets. From their cars, they think you're foolish for walking instead of using your car, or wonder if you're too poor to have a car or no license from DUI. You may get honked, yelled or whistled at, especially if a woman. The city parks serve as a refuge for walking while getting away from such stuff. My town has more sidewalks than the average town. Too bad a lot of people don't feel comfortable about using them.

I think it comes down to Deep South culture. Everything is fried and packed as full of calories and fat as it can be. Combine that with a culture where people are pretty much slaves to their automobiles. Another thing that might play a factor is the fact that people tend to settle down and get married at a young age here. Many people start slacking on keeping their physical appearance up after they get married and settled down. I've known many people who were in shape and muscular when they were young adults only to become overweight a few years after tying the knot.
You're speaking the truth here, and if you have an overweight wife that starts slimming down, you better start squirrelling away some money, 'cause chances are you're fixing to get the boot.

Our food supply has been modified, and changes to wheat starting in the mid 1980s have led to the obesity epidemic that we see to day. The point being, avoid all wheat and eat single ingredient foods, lean meats, vegetables, fruits, and some starches. Obesity becomes a non-issue as it is a simple lifestyle change. Once you stop eating wheat derived foods all the time, your appetite also decreases markedly- no longer feeling hungry between meals or snacking much at all. A win/win.

Or if you are also overweight and got the willpower, join her in slimming down.

Yup and we also shiver in the cold.

Shivering burns fat.

Yes, and then you can both be scared that the other person is going to leave you, and in turn you will leave each other.

Most Americans have an obesity problem, and they all don't live here. It would be good if everyone read this book:

Sugar, Salt, Fat: https://www.amazon.com/Salt-Sugar-Fa...sugar+salt+fat

The food industry is doing it to us.

"They" are not doing anything to us. What you eat is your decision.
