Karibear really has some survival skills. I'm so happy you are in a real house with no june bugs as companions!

Our area must be special. Redbird, Karibear, and I all live within a few miles from each other, and Synopsis was raised only a few miles further away.

The June bugs were more of a joke than anything, they're harmless- just annoying at 3 AM. And they clunk when they fall. I can't imagine how they fly, they're aerodynamically impossible. The tarantulas were a bit unexpected, at least having them falling and jumping on me was. Keeps life interesting, seeing what will pop up next. I can only imagine what it must have been like for the earliest settlers, having to shake centipedes and other creepy-crawlies out of their shoes every morning before they put them on. And no air conditioning back then - what a lovely invention!
