They are called "First Response Team of America" and after spending the morning reading about them and what they do, I just had to share!! (And spread the news. )
When I first saw the title of the article, I thought it would be some snarky comment about the US "getting what it deserves" for whatever reason... boy was I surprised!
Wow. I think you're use of the term "Angels" is spot on. If I were employed right now, I'd send these guys a check.
I plan on it... We are in between accounts right now, so I can't do the online donation for a week or so...but I can't imagine helping a better group! They come in before FEMA and other groups to clear the way, and even help the families dig through debris looking for their personal belongings.
Once help has been established, they move on to the next place that needs them...all for free.

FEMA in itself is a disaster, I don't like saying that because a friend of mine in my home town, we,ve known each other since 2nd grade , works for FEMA and was seriously injured during Hurricane Katrina disaster.
