How's the hay harvest out there in Okieland? It's looks to be another tough year here in S.Carolina. Dry as a chip. Hay's already to 6 or 7 $ a sqr bale out here. Rye, fescue, orchard etc. Alfalfa is topping 10$. What's your prices like (out of the field) now. The boy's ( 3 horses)are gonna have to learn to eat Mickey D's before long I might have to make a run west

Bought a bit of field hay a couple of years ago when it was pretty dry. It was running about $4 a small bale. Last year it was a bit less, with good timothy running $5 and alfalfa was around $7.

No idea what it runs today. we've had a lot of rain and may get three cuttings.

Cool I thought this thread was going to be about ReRun :-( J/K :P

Enh, what the hay? I'll post on this thread to-day.

It may be old, but it was suggested on the side.

No one's too old for a horse-driven hay-ride!

It's a bit too hot, for me as I type,

So I'll bid you all a good evening, a good afternoon, and a good night!
