How's the hay harvest out there in Okieland? It's looks to be another tough year here in S.Carolina. Dry as a chip. Hay's already to 6 or 7 $ a sqr bale out here. Rye, fescue,orchard etc. Alfalfa is topping 10$. What's your prices like (out of the field) now. The boy's ( 3 horses)are gonna have to learn to eat Mickey D's before long

Bought a bit of field hay a couple of years ago when it was pretty dry. It was running about $4 a small bale. Last year it was a bit less, with good timothy running $5 and alfalfa was around $7.
