For Chicken fried steak go to Hammett House in Claremore on 88 up by the Will Roger's Memorial.
It takes up the whole plate, it's steak (not hamburger) and you can cut it with a fork. The breading
is excellent. Get an extra plate and share. The pies are superb too.

Back to the Burgers though I love the big bacon cheeseburger piled high with everything. Their chili is good also.

They do have some in Texas. There's one right here in Denison.

But....if the hamburger meat they use for the burgers is the same they sell in the store, I think I'll pass from now on. The meat in the cooler is labled, "Product of USA, Canada and Mexico."

Currently by far the best chicken fry is either Shiloh's in Broken Arrow or TGIF. TGIF is the only place I know that makes their chicken fry from ribeye!

Default Best in the State CFS

Just South of Norman is Noble, and on Main St. you will find Kendall's Restaurant. They have the best I have ever had. Not only does it taste good but you will have left overs for at least one or two meals, it's Huge. But save room for the best cinnamon roll you have ever eaten for dessert.

This isn't in Oklahoma, but it's very, very close. Anyone tried the chicken fried steak at Lamberts in Missiouri.

Del Rancho for sure!

Check it out: Del Rancho Restaurants: Home of the Steak Sandwich Supreme

There is a place in downtown Guthrie called Katie's that is just as good!
