I've seen Best Steak and Best Chicken Fry, now I want to hear about the Best Pizza in the State. The best that I have tried so far has been The Wedge downtown and Hideaway Pizza . Any opinions? (Im a pizza junkie btw )

I would assume McAlester should have some good pizza with the heavy Italian influence in the area. I read good reviews on a place called "Fat Boys." Also, Umbertos in Tulsa receives good ratings.

The best pizza I have eaten in Oklahoma was at Lovera's convienence store in Krebs, OK. That's right, they make pizza out of this little place using all the ingredients they sell at Lovera's grocery a block away. It is better than Hideaway, Falcone's or any of them. Hard to believe but true.

I used to say "Jo's Famous Pizza" in Purcell. Unfortunately, a death in the family caused a conflict when the "wrong" person inherited the place. From what I hear, the person who has been managing Jo's for years has opened his own place on the north end of town. They say that he is making the pizza the same as they always have.

It's just almost a tragedy for me, though. Now it's in a different building and that place hasn't changed since before I was born. Such is life, I guess...

My favorite place is Brother's Pizza in Tulsa.

Hideaway is second, though.
