Now THAT is an Olympic sized jump. I know a lot of people (including Southern Baptists) who are not homophobic. I will agree, however, that I know of no one who thinks abortions are a good thing. Most people, though, even in Oklahoma, believe that such decisions are best left between the woman, her Doctor and her God.

It all depends on the reason for an abortion. It's a lousy way to practice birth control. But when a girl/woman is pregnant as a result of incest or rape, that is another thing entirely. I know of very few who would advocate against abortion in those cases, no matter what their religion.

That is a very bad assumption, azriverfan. Did you shake hands will all 3.6 million people to come up with that conclusion? The overwhelming majority of Oklahomans are actually non-denominational. All you need is a quick visit to Life Church to figure that one out.

I, being an Oklahoman used to assume the same thing about protestants in general, but after getting to know a lot of people that are Baptist or nondenominational, etc. don't fit the description you provide. Sorry, but I am afraid you are mistaken.

The intolerance lies with church officials and a handful of Oklahoma legislators who think they are doing Oklahoma good.

I agree. I am firmly pro-choice, but not pro-abortion.
