It was a nice day, I spent a lot of it outside and unpacking more stuff. Planted a few things, too.

Holy crow, the sun is coming up!

I'm going to bed. Whether I'm able to sleep or not, I'm at least gonna hide under the covers and pretend it's still dark out before my sleeping pattern gets any more messed up...

Why is it so messed up Born? I often have sleep issues. Many nights I will be up until the wee hours just staring at the ceiling. And I hate taking over the counter or prescription meds for such things, so I just suffer along.

It's been a problem since I was very little and didn't want to sleep for fear of missing something important. I still have that anxiety, only on top of the fact that now when I get a thought that causes me anxiety, it's nearly impossible to stop thinking it. It can be as simple as not having a glass of water nearby 'just in case'. (It doesn't matter that obviously when I wake up I'm still going to have legs, and that whatever is happening when I wake up, it's unlikely I'll be in any trouble if I don't have a drink...) Also, if I don't have a fresh coat chapstick on, I can't sleep because from the moment I realize my lips feel even minutely dry, I can't stop thinking about it, which makes it ten times as bad. The two examples I gave aren't even the tip of the iceberg... It's easier if I don't try to fight it, but doesn't help in the long run. I usually only last a couple of minutes before I give in and realize I'm not getting any sleep if I don't just 'fix it', whatever 'it' happens to be.

Also, because of all the anxiety and little 'obsessions' I have to deal with before sleep, I tend to avoid sleep altogether sometimes until the point where I'm so exhausted that even the anxiety can't keep me awake.

I use to have anxiety like that when I was self-employed and had alot of work ahead of me. I learn to put together a plan in my head on how/where I would start or set up a job that night so it was ready for me to start on or finish the next day. It worked

Worrying about too many things at one time, will bring you down everytime.

Yeah, tell me about it! I'm pretty certain I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, though it's not been officially diagnosed because if my Dad couldn't SEE something wrong with me, it didn't get looked at. I learned to live with it, and have lived with it without treatment of any kind for so long, that now I sort of just don't see the point.

But lately it's been getting worse with the stress of not being able to find a job, applying to school and waiting to hear back, trying to psych myself up for moving 2,000 miles from home (I'm excited, don't get me wrong, but it's still stressful), plus it seems lately like I might need a new vehicle or some serious repairs to the one I have before I move, too.

If you deal with 'Acid Stomach" from stress and anxiety, the (old school) way of getting rid of that is............2-3 t-spoons of Baking soda in a glass of water.
It doesn't taste like Kool-aid, but it takes care of the acid stomach fast.

I've just heard that the Oklahoma economy is starting to improve.

Thanks, I'll have to try that remedy if I start getting to that point.

I heard the Oklahoma economy was better than most already, so an improvement on where it already was is even sweeter music to my ears... or uh... well, you get the idea.
