They're still ugly though. Like a projects for millionaires.

I ~should~ have DM'd MK, but I didn't think. Our lawn mower is really REALLY old and decrepit. I hate it. Next time I hit at the casino, it's going for a brand spanking new HONDA lawn mower! Sorry, those John Deere's are too 'spensive.
Get an MTD, Yardman, CubCadet, Murray, Troybuilt or a Craftsman, they're much cheaper and can be found used. Troybuilt is fairly high priced, but they're built good, just likeJohn Deere.
The old ones are the ones I'm best at. If it's a Brigg & Stratton engine, give me the model, Type, and code #'s and I'll tell you the HP, design and function along with the day, month and year the engine was made.

Most "Dixie Choppers" of my experience were Commercially built ZTR's.(Zero Turn Radius) Which run close to the cost of a vehical.
And that's not including attachments.

My Dad picked up a John Deere ZTR last year and he LOVES it! Somewhere I have pics of him (and my brother) zooming around the pasture with their hair blown back and big grins on their faces.
