Did you know you were one degree shy of tying your record low~Friday, I believe it was? (Tulsa)

Snow is in our forecast for the day. I'd love to be able to send it to those of you who would enjoy it.
As a kid, there was always something that made the Dakotas stand out. It was something I watch on some of the old TV shows, Westerns i believe.\
Now thinking back I think I figured it out.
It was the "Blizzards!" they had up there.
Even Michigan didn't have winters with heavy winds like the Dakotas!

You were patient then. I was in a hurry to get the kid on time for her appointment. I missed my attached garage. Post housing's garage is in the alley. Laziness took hold of me and parked my car in front of the house cause it's a few step closer. This morning I paid for it.

no im just too lazy to scrape the ice and well once my hands get froze they are so hard to warm up

It was "COLD!" last night!(single digits) The cold front out did the 2 heaters I had on as if they weren't even on.
Thank God my dog, my blankets and my body heat out did the cold
It's only suppose to be in the low 30's today and around 9 degrees tonight

Frozen hands with dry skin, that's what I usually get on winter time. What happened to global warming?

I'm sorry tator! The sleet finally stopped here and the SNOW is falling. If the wind would ease up a little I'd go take more pictures.

Be careful, LR. I just went to the store and nearly slipped and fell on the concrete!

Our little world's tiniest walmart was a slugfest! I never seen so many people in town. Everyone is gearing up for the snow days. I am hoping for a snowy Christmas, and not an ICY Christmas. But I am staying inside, so it really doesn't matter to me.

Amazing how we can dream of a White Christmas without realizing our dreams can cause problems. WE are here in NWA with a granddaughter, her husband and 3 year old ready to visit, but it looks like they may have some real problems (yes, they live in OKC) or acutally Mustang. To add to all this, we are expecting about 6 inches plus freezing cold and our daughter lives on a hill that there is no way they will be able to get off of I am afraid. it looks like they will be here tonight (they only live a few miles away) for tamales but that might be the end of our Christmas celebration for a few days..And yes, in all my years I have never seen a white Christmas, I was praying for one this year. I guess I will be more careful from now on what I wish for...
