Ok. I don't feel it serves the state well to have both our senators so far to the right that they're almost off the fringe. It has the effect of marginalizing Oklahoma to the rest of the country.

If you ask me why Inhofe keeps getting re-elected, I believe it is "the devil you know" syndrome.

That's a major reason why Inhofe is such a hit with conservatives in Oklahoma because central to conservative political philosophy is the desire to maintain the status quo.

Inholf helped initiate and approve Bill HR 1804.

Oklahoma is 1 of only 5 state that now have and enforce this type of Law.

He gets elected because he is a fundamentalist Christian. Jon Stewart has made a few swipes at him, and I believe it was he that made a swipe at Oklahoma. I can't recall what he said, but it was the same old beliefs about Oklahoma that many people have that live in other States. Actually, I wish he were right about climate change, that it doesn't exist.

If the criminal is found to be an illegal immigrant, they will contact the Department of Homeland Security to have them deported. HR 1804 also requires state agencies to confirm citizenship before dispersing any type of public welfare or money. Inhofe exposed the global warming hoax years ago and has been steadfast in trying to educate (he has a good senate website) and to prevent this cap and tax scam from assaulting our economy. I think he has been doing yeoman's work. We don't live in OK, but maybe we will in the future, I hope he's still around.
