Despite the penalties and overall sloppy play, they played well enough late in the 3rd and 4th to pull it out.

I think Landry has got the goods to win many games, but we have to get a much (much, much!) better offensive line and improve our special teams play immeasurably.

BOOMER!!!

The Sun Bowl? LOL That's not much for the former BCS Champions, is it?

It's been a bad year for OU and the fans are having to really stretch to find something to cheer about.

When you have six of your starters out with injuries, the Sun Bowl is pretty good. I can guarantee you there are schools out there that would have loved to be there instead.

Let me guess, I suppose you think the Cotton bowl is better?? Let's see, Stanford beat the crap out of Oregon (who's playing in the Rose bowl) and USC this year. OU totally dominated the game, had more then a 3:1 in first downs to Stanford, had 3 times more penalties called on them, and got screwed on 10 points given to Stanford. I'll take the victory, it's more then OSU will have after tomorrow!

Typical post from a fan from a lesser program....

-Don't forget the OTHER 6 AP national titles we have! (The Sooners' 7 are second only to Notre Dame's.)
-Highest winning percentage in the modern era.
-47 game winning streak.
-42 Conference titles.
-6 Big XII Conference titles.
-7 Big XII South Division titles.
-Most weeks ranked #1 in the AP poll.
-Most weeks ranked in top 5 of AP poll.
-Most weeks ranked in top 10 of AP poll.
-Ranked #1 more often than any other team in BCS era.
-Ranked in top 5 more often than any other team in the BCS era.
-Most 11 win seasons compared to any other program.
-Most 10 win seasons compared to any other program.
-Only team in college football with 4 coaches to win 100 games.
-5 heisman trophy winners.
-Countless All-Americans.

I could go on but I'm getting....zzzz....tired.

Yeh, we Sooners have nothing to cheer about at all!

Ciao for now troll.

Typical post of an OU fan too....I think ya better check your 2nd only to Notre Dames comment.....pretty sure ( actually I know ) Alabama and a few other schools got ya beat too.

And sure you can cheer about the past.....but thats the past. Sports lives in the here and now. OU had a admirable season for all their troubles.....OSU had an even better season despite their injuries too. Both teams stepped up to adversity times 100, and I hope OSU joins OU with a season finale win. Then we just need to Texas to win the national championship and the big 12 will look a bit better for it. Big 12 took a major blow this year in it's argument to be the top conference thanks to OSU/OU/Mizzou/TTech all choking on key games.

I thought they did pretty good considering how the season started out. I think they will be much better next year, Landry Jones and the offensive line got an opportunity to get a lot of experience. And this was a really good Stanford team. I was glad they got to play another BCS conference school instead of someone from a mid-major.

Glad they finally snapped the bowl game losing streak.
