Until a reliably stable demand for the bus service is demonstrated, they won't be expanding routes.

Buses have been filling quite well lately. A far cry from just a few years ago.

so true.

the 2 and 4 and 18 buses are always busy. almost impossible at times to get a seat on the 2 bus

even early in the morning or at last call at 11 pm or so is busy.

(last call route is aka the last one going east back to 23rd and Burt

I would bet that is right. I would take 13 more on sundays if it ran as 13/18 combo like it does monday-saturday

havent ever taken the 92 yet but do see it looks packed when I see it on dodge

the other routes I like. the 55 and 4 are my personal favorites

I have. All there assume Metro isn't looking because they're not part of the city.

I posted there and I doubt METRO will hear my suggestions. METRO's Curt Simon isnt really intrested in improving the bus system much.

expanding the 13 route on sundays from 60th to 72nd is closest thing to more bus service METRO has given folks this year.

if METRO really cared, have the 13/18 run on sundays like it does on saturdays

they are planning to jack up the cost of a transfer from 1 bus route to another

from 5 cents to 25 cents after first of the year

isnt jacking the price of bus fair going to possibly alienate people from using the bus

I could understand it going up to 10 cents, but 25 cents is a bit much IMO

btw: likely no plans in 2012 or 2013 for any bus routes. I wouldnt be surprised if there is lesser bus service in 2012

I btw took the 4 and the 3 and then the 55 this morning between 6 am and 8 am to get to work and all 3 buses were packed

I don't think the 20 cent transfer increase will affect much. As long as the regular fare is still 1.25, Metro will continue to be one of the cheapest bus rides in the nation.
