Benny Hill, Married with children, Good Times, Sanford and Son, 3 stooges, etc.

we might be getting it omaha down the line:

email update I got from folks on antenna tv being in Omaha:

We are working to get affiliates across the country. We hope to have an affiliate in Omaha. Thanks, Bina of Antenna TV

just mentioning this for those in omaha who have a digital tuner or want to see more broadcast channels/sub-channels in omaha, we might be getting this in 2011 or 2012 possibly. plus who dont like new stuff coming to omaha.

still waiting for cool tv to be on the air on channel 3.2 and for a Chic fila to open up in omaha.

I would see ketv likely adding it on channel 7.3 cause they are branching into programs airing on their weather channel aka 7.2

and would likely like to compete with this tv on 42.2

I btw see omaha getting it soon since Kansas City and Des Moines (on 13.3 in DM) just has gotten it recently.

We have AntennaTV on the west coast. I suspect it will improve over time, but right now it's a disappointment. The picture quality is terrible. Colors are washed out and the image is fuzzy.

Since I saw you posted something else about dropping cable and going with OTA broadcasts, I thought you'd like this post from a football forum I post on.
Quote:
After talking with some guys at work its become very clear to me that a lot of people don't know just how much free over the air HD programming they have at their disposal, and for a very modest price. This is particularly applicable for football fans, since the majority of NFL and college games are carried on the basic networks of Fox, CBS, NBC, and ABC, which make up pretty much every region's backbone of over the air programming (along with PBS).

For all of about $60 and a Saturday morning I'm picking up Fox, CBS (2 channels), NBC (2 channels), PBS (4 channels), ABC, My46, theCW, and the local independent station (2 channels). All it took was a cheap directional antenna off monoprice (about $30, slightly larger than a paperback novel), some quality quad shielded coax, and my old brunton (compass). Five minutes on TVfool.com and I had my angle from magnetic north to aim for, and just a couple hours later I had crystal clear digital tv for free over the air.

This isn't something that you need to live in a city to make use of either. I'm over 30 miles (direct line, about 50 by highway) at closest to the towers I'm picking up. I'm even getting a second PBS station (basically the same programming) from the directionally opposite city about 60 miles southeast.

Excellent alternative for those of us stuck within the regions of a cable monopoly. Nothing quite like free HD, and over the air isn't as bandwidth restricted as satellite or cable, so the picture is often even superior to what you'd have to pay additional money for with those services.

No, I agree completely. Sorry that I implied otherwise.

i know u agreed. many nbc and abc stations do have 2 subchannels.

des moines nbc station has 2 on who channel 13

(as does cedar rapids abc station and abc stations in nyc and los angeles and philadelphia and chicago and waco texas to name a few

and if it's good for Cedar rapids and des moines and other cities abc or nbc stations to have 2 subchannels , it's good for omaha IMO.
