Anyone know what types of stores/restaurants are going in here, and when it is going to be open?

I am pretty sure there are no solid details.

It would be nice to see the shovel hit the dirt on this project though. It would be huge for the city.

They only announced it in the paper. I don't think anything has been approved.
Plus the Gretna Outlet Mall is being developed with a similiar concept so question if it will even happen.

I will take this outlet project over the Gretna expansion any day of the week.

Really? It's in question? There is a gigantic sign at the giles/harrison exit announcing that "outlets at southport west will be opening soon". I guess you can always take the sign down if it doesn't work, but why even put it up if its in question?

I could list a whole lot of projects in this cities that had signs and never happened.

The latest Cordish said was that they were looking at an early 2013 opening for sure and earlier if possible. Cordish is one of the most reputable developers in the nation and has really good relationships with all the big time outlet retailers.

Yeah, the fact that it is Cordish should tell you that it is going to happen. I doubt a company like that makes grandiose claims that they can't follow through on. This has to be happening, or they look pretty bad.

It would be a good spot for a park and ride.
