Not everybody likes West Omaha. I avoid West Omaha "like the plague", personally. It's irresponsible to just pick up and move out west and leave your old home to decay in front of all the residents of the area. I'm really happy to see that our "suburban renaissance" seems to be losing momentum and more attention is being focused on urban neighborhoods. To each his own, I suppose.

All of them are going under. Borders was trying to hold onto some of them through bankruptcy but that deal fell through.

That's not always the case of how suburbs grow.

Only place I heard that was here and that was just a cool idea by iamjacobm. It would be pretty sweet to know that was going to happen, though.

Flattering, but I saw it from a vision plan a few years ago. It actually had all the way to the creek flattened and converted to residential/retail.

I had gone by there earlier this year and they were still open. Today I went by going to Homers downtown and it was closed. They closed here in Lincoln about 4 years ago. One of my faves, But that's what happens. All my favorite buffets close. The poor ones are still in business, IMO.

Amazon was driving them into the ground. Kind of like Kmart vs. Walmart.
