sears is only one of a few stores left at crossroads mall here.

shame though, crossroads is at a heavy intersection of the city.

(and how Omaha central high is worried cause downtown's library is where many of their students skip school to go to during the school year

Uhh, no. Latest story is a massive restructuring of the mall into a mixed use facility with apartments being added onto the former Dillards building.

Maybe shoppers are afraid of being hit by idiots on bicycles. LOL

People are too fat and LAZY to walk. Why bother when the mailman can bring you anything you order from the Internet????

I haven't been to a mall in years because there is nothing I want there. I do like Sears though. I just wish they wouldn't have stopped producing a catalog. I ordered a lot of stuff from it.

ah, that is great something will be done with dillards building.

I guess for now Omaha Central High 's library aka Downtown Library will be staying downtown for the time being.

I don't think it's safe to say that Sears is going under. Those were just predictions.

The library is still part of the plan, and the former Dillard's is to be used by another "anchor" store if all goes to plan, with housing "on top."

I would love to see Sears bounce out of Crossroads. They are paying next to nothing for their lease at that location and they don't seem to fit into the plans to redevelop the land there. If they are going to start over why not start from scratch.
