Your forgetting about the 1-2 feet of buffer between the lane and parking as well as the curb itself. That 3-5 seems more plausible. Not only that but they plan on outdoor seating like many bars in the old market have, HOW?

Ok so I just went on google earth and measured 16th. The length from storefront to storefront is actually around 95 ft, not 75. And I'm pretty sure thats right because it measured the width of the road at 24 ft, and isn't that what you guys are saying it is right now? So, add 24 to 28 (depth of parking on both sides) and you get 52. Subtract that from 95 and you get 43. That's 21.5 ft for both sidewalks. I'm sure they'll be fine.

It probably really is 75 to 80. The street used to be four lanes with parallel parking plus the sidewalks. (11feetx4lanes)+(8feetx2parking)+(10feetx2sidewalk s)= 80feet

I think it is 86 feet. That includes two lanes, a curb, and two sidewalks. Subtract the width of the road 34 feet, add a 1 foot curb, and you get 16 feet sidewalks.
