One small thing I would do is adjust the metered parking times, specifically in and around the Old Market. It is such a missed revenue opportunity to give away on street parking at night and on the weekends when that parking is in highest demand. I think you could bump the prime time parking fees up to $2 bucks an hour and rake in a couple thousand a night that the city could feed back into keeping our downtown street scape clean and green. I actually think a parking fee at night and on weekends could possibly raise the business down there. People staying more more than just dinner will learn to fill the parking lots, garages and side streets while the quick comers and goers would be willing to pay more for closer parking.

If I were mayor,

I would have all kinds of rail transit brought to the city. Omaha might by considering it, but if I were mayor, I would say "just do it" and have it done according to what the budget allows.

Allow gambling in Omaha, which would raise revenues.

Plan for the future. It might be nice to have professional sports in Omaha, besides minor league sports. Maybe not Major League Baseball, but maybe the NBA, NHL, or soccer.

Start projects to help the north side of Omaha, to bring in more jobs, to reduce the levels of crime,

I never said or implied that city-data is Eomaha.

Given the level of seriousness on Eomaha.com, it's obvious Omahans take "playing mayor" seriously.
