it will be at 156th and maple area

I wonder if they will be immune from the Mayor's Restaurant tax since west maple

(anything west of 102nd on west maple is not legally recognized as part of omaha) according to METRO bus service

since they have no intention to ever even try to have a bus service going west of 102nd street on maple

Sorry, but I have to laugh. "Fuddruckers to open a new location outside City Bus limits on West Maple Road". To think that the reason for this post is to inform people that if they want to save 20 cents on a Buffalo Burger they'll have to find private transport for that last 5 miles just has me shaking my head.

Are you complaining about the 2.5% city restaurant tax or the lack of bus service out to 156th St?

lack of bus service.

I am making a joke mocking METRO for refusing bus service on maple street past 102nd street.

We need a thread for this? Seriously? Can we consolidate your gripes about METRO and The OPS council into one thread please?

I go to the Hy Vee in the same parking lot frequently because I don't have to pay the extra 1.5% sales tax. I don't think this particular restaurant would be subject to extra restaurant tax. Having said that, I'm not sure if 7M charges it now or now.

I know.

besides sticking it to Curt Simon for enabling a crappy bus system when Omaha deserves the best is what gets me by while we still have our crappy bus system for now

btw, one suggestion for better bus service.

many bus shelters around town I see regularly have broken out windows, no benches, no trash cans, no nothing.

They're basically a few pieces of rusted metal plopped down every few blocks and left to the elements.

The buses are some peoples only mode of transportation and the shelters should be given the same kind of maintenance and upkeep that roads do.

I'm not sure what to do about that. It has to be crazy expensive. They are a huge target of vandalism and the homeless. I hate to say that I'm sure that they had to remove the trash cans because they were probably being used as bathrooms.

Of course that goes back to the city to have help the homeless get back to work, or to try and patrol those areas more, but we need more police, because that only further strains our thin police force.
