We are looking to install a water softener and have quotes from a local water softening company and a plumber. We are pre plumbed for the softener but most pipes are covered under drywall ceilings. Didn't know who would do the best job especially if they have to determine how our house was pre-fitted. There really isn't a significant difference between the two for cost or system. The softener company is a bit cheaper but the system is somewhat smaller as well. We have not used this plumber but he has good reviews on Angie's list. Any suggestions?
