Simply put, it's probably the best blend of low unemployment, low cost of living, and big city entertainment available anywhere in America.

Low cost of living yet high taxes- similar to most of the Midwest.

The high property taxes were what surprised me the most. I moved from Missouri in 2010. Missouri does have very low taxes in general though.
