Folks,
Asking what areas are good for living on the west side of Omaha. I believe the office would be located on the west side.
Thanks,
Ed

Thank you... What are the chances of finding a nice rental apt or home for $1000?

From a quick look, it seems like most apartments in west omaha go for 700-900, but houses may be a bit more. I looked at zillow and it seemed like nearly all the houses in west omaha were closer to 1.2-1.4k. West Omaha is mostly middle to upper middle class, so generally speaking its usually safe. Since its a more middle/upper middle class area, the houses are just more expensive because they're bigger and newer. (most of those houses i mentioned were 3 or 4 bed and 2-3 baths.

Midtown is also a possibility too, depending *how* far west your office will be. I lived off of 90th and dodge and while it was busier, my 1500 sq foot house was only 750 a month. living there would probably only add an extra 10-15 mins onto your drive (though it really depends where its at).

Everything west of I-680 is exactly the same. Just different color houses.

All the neighborhoods immediately around 108th and John Galt are nice. If I were you I'd consider that area first and take into account the 5 minute drive or even the possibility of walking or biking to work.

We checked out Regency Lakes on Regency Blvd. They seemed to be priced right. The buildings a bit dated but quiet and ten minutes from work. Any thoughts on those?
