I had heard some rumblings about this in the past (http://www.dealsomaha.com/article/20101201/MONEY/712019926/0 (http://http://www.dealsomaha.com/article/20101201/MONEY/712019926/0 - broken link)), but thought it was all just a rumor. I didn't see this article in the paper until searching the archives today, after the developers/council members spoke about it at a meeting this morning. Sounds like they have really big plans.

Is Gretna going to pass the tax incentive bill (LB 1018) and if so, will the latest mall work?

Planners are talking about 310,000 square feet of retail space and attracting 3 million tourists (people from up to 150 miles out from my understanding of their definition). I think these are lofty goals, but I guess you have to aim high.

Try this. DealsOmaha looks to be part of the Omaha World-Herald family of sites and they are notorious for designing crappy web pages with broken links. I tracked down an article on DealsOmaha regarding Nebraska Crossing via Google and it's from the OWH.

Thanks for putting up a better link. Sorry about the broken one, I should have checked it out right away.

It wasn't your fault. The URL was correct. It just didn't redirect to the correct article because the OWH hires second rate website designers.

I fully support this. I heard they are looking at getting a Coach Outlet and I think I might have screamed hearing that. Silly I know, but now I don't have to wait to go to California every year to go there.

I thought that there was already a Coach store out at Village Point.

There's a Coach outlet in Williamsburg, IA. It's only a three hour drive. A Fossil outlet would make me very happy.

The incentive must be voted on by the residents. I think they are having a special election and the city is campaigning now.
