I'm hoping to get some idea of the options for senior Independent/Assisted living facilities in Omaha.

We're trying to convince my mother-in-law to sell her house on the east coast and head out this way. In order to do that we'll need to be able to show her a facility or two that I have to pretentiously (sorry) call high-end luxurious.

She's seen the facility that my parents are in up that way. Their apartment is huge, 1,800 sf with a garage. 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, den/library and covered porch. The facility has a pool, full service restaurant, a bistro for sandwich/pastries etc, a library, gym, and several community rooms. If I can replicate that out here we might have a shot.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

The Arboretum on Farnam (behind Methodist) or Larimore of near 132nd and fort might be somewhere in the target of what you are looking for?

The Arboretum was nice. Thank you for the suggestion.

We were however, blown away by the new Grand Lodge at Hillcrest in Papillion.

Great! I wasn't aware that Grand Lodge was open yet. But nice to have facilities across the whole area.

The Grand Lodge isn't ready yet. It is expected to be ready in early 2015. They do have some units ready as models. But you'd have to wait until they have an open house to see them.
