Believe it or not, my car insurance went down when I moved out of Nebraska. Lol

I was quoted at $30-35 a month insurance for a Subaru I was thinking of buying when I lived in NH.

Here's the state income taxes for each state. Nebraska and Iowa have some of the highest income taxes in the country.

I don't know, according to that, there's 18 other states with higher income taxes than Nebraska, makes it seem like it's not among the highest. Iowa is pretty damn high, though.

If that chart is accurate(and doubt it), nebraska would be slightly higher than average (in the top half, but not the top quarter). I counted 17 states with higher rates, many much higher. Not what I would consider 'some of the highest income taxes in the country'. especially as many states are very close to what Nebraska has.

Yet another inaccurate post brought to you by MountainMen.

If you must having a mountain or beach to be happy, I wouldn't advise coming here, unless you count large hills with biking/skiing in the Loess Hills or thousands of lakes and rivers with water rafting.

I will say that most people that leave Omaha end up coming back loving it more than ever.
Well, it would still take a lot for me to consider the Plains again. I would probably be spending most ofl my money on a number of vacations each year. I would probably also end up spending a ton on landscaping as well.
