So are these Qwest Price For Life ads true? I'm a current Cox Internet/Phone subscriber, with the combined cost of the two coming in somewhere in the low to mid $80s after taxes... I saw the Qwest ads saying that there's a bundle with phone service + 3 features for $30.99 and 6 or 7 Mbps Internet for $36.99 (including Windows Live, which a relative in CO with Qwest said can be removed for a savings of $2-3/mo.). As a lifelong resident of eastern NE I know phone taxes here are pretty high... so for those of you with Qwest (especially with the plans I outlined above) what are your opinions on it? And after taxes and promo periods, how much per month really is this "price for life"?

Those companies are just like cellular providers. They all have different deals but they all have the best deals. It's all marketing B.S. You pay less you get less service (bandwith, channels etc) Cox and Quest from my experience have always been the same.

That doesn't really answer my question though. I realize it's pretty much just marketing hype, but am curious about real-life experiences with Qwest's latest offerings. Before taxes are factored in, it seems their price quote comes out to just over $65. With taxes, Cox (Internet/Phone) comes out in the mid $80s. So, for those who have Qwest, what's it come to after taxes? Is the price for life really price for life or will it go up after 3, 12, 24 months, etc.?
