[quote=Jonatham;43581213]sorry to intervene in your discussion but you are afraid to walk on street?

Anyone can intervene....i want to hear from others. Not nervous to walk (I'd be driving through) to get to zoo with no stopping but stopping in old market.

I have not lived in Omaha for 5 years but I lived of 24th and Poppleton for about a year.

Unless it's changed that much in the last 5 years I walked down South 13th street all time. I never thought South Omaha was bad. It was mostly quiet when I lived there. I walked down South 13th street and never had a problem.

I don't ever remember feeling scared to walk in South Omaha. The only area I wouldn't walk was 22nd to 24th and Jones.

Seems like alot of retirees lived in that part of South Omaha, that was 5 years ago

Omaha crime is very concentrated in the northeastern part of the city. The rest even in areas that are old and run-down wasn't that I bad.
