Nebraska does tax SS.

The benefits of Nebraska is not taxes, but the affordable lower cost of living and the lack of the rush of normal life in other areas of the country.

Thanks for your input, Garthur.

have seen articles (2013) saying the Nebraska legislature was considering not taxing SS, but did not find confirmation that the proposed changes passed. On the other hand, here is a link to an AARP article (2014) saying that 'fewer' Nebraskan seniors would be paying state taxes on SS. Tax Relief for Nebraskans with Social Security Benefits -AARP States Maybe it is income dependent??? Or maybe AARP got it wrong.

By the way, I agree about the benefits of Nebraska. I love driving by farms and orchards when I go out to do my grocery shopping.
