First of all, thanks for the help in my apartment search. I haven't found one yet, but I'm hopeful! Secondly, as a young single woman moving to Omaha, I was wondering where a good start to meeting people would be? Are there any "hot spots" in Omaha?? I do not know anyone there, but I make friends quickly and wouldn't mind finding a nice young man to hang out with along the way. Any input on the night life there and the singles scene would be much appreciated!

Well, I'm not religious, so definatley not church. Anything else is fair game. I will be working a lot, so maybe a place to have a cocktail after work where other young professionals may be. I have been out of college for a little over 4years now, so I'd also like to try and stay away from that type of crowd. I love music and culture and fun/interesting/different types of people and things to do. Hope that helps narrow it down...thanks for the help!

I know I've said this here before but I would HIGHLY recommend hanging around Myth and Urban Wine Company, both in the Old Market. I'm friends with the owners at both places and the staff and owners of both are great people and it's easy to strike up conversations with strangers in both places.

I'm a little old for this, but take a look at this website for SLAM Omaha for a good overview of the Music and Arts scene around town, they seem to have a pretty good grouping of what's going on - may have some ideas in there for you.

Well I'm the product of an interracial relationship...so are my 4 brothers..so I'd say it's pretty common. I know many interracial couples and biracial people.
