I love the long straight roads with plenty of greenery. There is enough traffic that one has to pay attention, but driving is still more relaxed than most cities with many fewer traffic jams.

I think after living in other cities that my favorite thing about Omaha is the down to earth mentality of the city. I think there is less pretension in Omaha then any city that I ever lived in.

I only lived in Omaha a short time but the people there are the nicest, friendliest and down to earth I have ever come across in retrospect.

Few people are showing off in Omaha, it's mainly just people trying to live in comfortable and happy life.

For a pretty large city, it's phenomenally easy to get around in.

The downtown is great and now the obvious, the amazing zoo.

Mostly, the people. Omaha has some of the best people in the country, in my opinion. There are a multitude of threads here from outsiders and new residents who have attested to the kindness of Omahans.

Also, Omaha has one of the best balances between being a major city, great job market and affordable housing. Omaha really isn't the best at any of those individual things, but it's really good at all of them. Sort of the jack of all trades of cities.

The people....very humble and down to earth. Im sure its been said, but there is a reason. People in New Hampshire are amazingly similar.......sort of odd, but true.
