What media? This doesn't mean anything if it's true.

Local media. They occasionally lay groundwork for chamber of commerce and public agencies. You'll see.

Not gonna happen.

Co Bluffs is being forced to take theirs down. Omaha isn't going to waste its money on this.

Actually, I would not be completely opposed to Red Light Cameras.

But - unlike what Council Bluffs has done - Red Light Cameras must be used for public safety, rather than revenue generation.

In Council Bluffs, they shortened the duration of the yellow lights at the intersections where they have red light cameras, so they could snag more people. In doing so, they actually caused more accidents because people were slamming on their brakes when they saw a yellow light. A couple years ago, due to public outrage, they installed countdown timers, and returned the yellow light duration to what it should have been.

But again, I wouldn't be totally opposed to having red light cameras in Omaha. Literally every day I see people blowing through intersections several seconds after their light has turned red.

I hope Omaha does get red light cams. WE NEED THEM!

Should be a 100.00 ticket. I know it's a big probelm right now folfs just don't care anyone.

What Omaha needs is a camera to catch the morons texting at green lights holding up traffic. I cannot remember a time I used my horn so many times.

Is texting while driving primary or secondary offense in Nebraska?
