I have recently moved to Omaha and since my girlfriend and I are states away I would like to take our relationship to the next level. I would like to ask her to marry me this coming weekend but I'm at a loss as to places to propose. I'm more of a traditional guy so I'm looking for scenic parks or something like that where it could be our moment alone. I'm up for any suggestions that you may have.

To give you an idea of what I was considering I thought that this was vert nice:

Thanks

Oh and it doesn't need to be a park. That was just my first thought.

I asked my wife to marry me when we were watching football, sitting on the couch in her sister's living room.

But then I'm not a really romantic sorta fella.

Would you be willing to drive a little bit? Mahoney State Park west of Omaha would have some good spots.

If there is a special animal she likes then go to the zoo. I've known people to propose in front of:
+ the Polar Bears,
+ the Penguins,
+ in the Rain Forest,
+ at the Herb Garden by the Fish Pond (kind of a private place)

If she likes baseball then in front of the statue at Rosenblatt.

Heartland of America Park (get the gondola guy to take just the two of you to the fountain).

If she likes nature then go to Fontenelle Forest or any of the other parks around.

Want to be on top of the world, then go to the top of the tower at Mahoney State Park.

Like the river, then take a short ride on the riverboat.

Excellent ideas! I'm a little concerned about the weather this weekend since it will be pretty windy and cold. I thought about the gondola ride but it may be too cold this weekend. I do like the riverboat idea. I'll have to check out the zoo and these places, fontenelle forest, Laurintzen Gardens and Mahoney State Park.

Thank you for all of the suggestions!

Call Channel 7

You get be the first to propose on the new pedestrian bridge. YOu make the news and start a new trend in Omaha. You can call it the new lovers leap. If she says No, you can just jump off the bridge.

But seriously the new bridge would be cool. Be the first..

Fontanelle Forest or Lauritzen Gardens are excellent suggestions, if you like natural settings.

Enjoy!

My husband proposed to me on a horse carriage ride in downtown Denver. I think there's a horse that pulls a carriage in the Old Market. All of my friends think that that was a sweetest and most romantic proposal ever.
