Households buy a house, hence the word household income.

Omaha
40,484 Median Household Income
National
46,242 Median Household Income
-5758

Median Housing costs per year
Omaha- 13,920
National-15,540
-1620

So basically Omaha housing costs relative to household incomes mean that the median Omaha household spends $4138 more per year on housing adjusted to household incomes then the national average.

Manipulating stats again Matt? Does median housing costs include rentals or only purchased homes? You forgot to include taxes, costs of goods, costs of utilities, health care, insurance...

No offense, I'd rather trust her links than your oversimplified calculations.

Matt, when will you be leaving Nebraska? I've been reading through the posts and it doesn't sound like you're happy there at all.
